The short version
- The only time we keep your email is when you choose to sign up for our newsletter.
- We gather anonymous analytics to learn which posts readers find helpful.
- Cookies handle our analytics and, once AdSense approves us, our advertising. You're free to decline them.
- We never sell your data.
Who we are
A Casa Decor ("we", "us", "our") runs the website at https://acasadecor.com. Should any part of this policy raise a question, reach us through the contact form.
What we collect
1. Information you give us directly
- Newsletter subscriptions — your email address and IP address (we keep the IP to guard against spam signups). It lives in our own database and is never sold.
- Contact form submissions — name, email, subject, message, and IP, which we use to write back to you.
2. Information collected automatically
- IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring URL, the pages you view, and how long you stay.
- Cookies and comparable storage (covered under "Cookies & third-party services" below).
Why we collect it
- To deliver the newsletter you signed up for.
- To respond to messages you send through the contact form.
- To see which posts resonate and make the site better.
- To serve relevant advertising (display ads only).
- To stop abuse, fraud, and spam.
Cookies & third-party services
We rely on the third-party services listed below. Each one maintains its own privacy policy, and you can opt out of them one by one.
| Service | Purpose | Data shared | Privacy policy |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics | Anonymous traffic measurement (which posts are read and where visitors arrive from) | Anonymized IP, page views, device type | policies.google.com/privacy |
| Google AdSense | Display ads on post pages (once approved) | Cookie identifiers, IP, and browsing context used to personalize ads | policies.google.com/technologies/ads |
| Google Funding Choices (CMP) | Consent banner shown to visitors in the EU, UK, and CH | A cookie recording your consent state | policies.google.com/privacy |
| Affiliate networks (Amazon Associates, Wayfair, ShareASale, Awin, Pottery Barn affiliate, Brooklinen, Society6) | Crediting referred purchases so commissions are attributed correctly | Click ID and referral URL, recorded when you click a product link | Once you click through, the relevant retailer's privacy policy takes over. |
| Share buttons on posts that load only when clicked | Nothing until you click; no Pinterest tag runs in the background. | policy.pinterest.com |

- Advertising — Google AdSense (`__gads`, `IDE`, `NID`), placed only once you consent in the EEA, UK, or CH.
- Affiliate — placed by retailer domains, not by us, when you click an affiliate link.
Your rights
- Access / correction / deletion — reach us through the contact form and we'll get back to you within 30 days.
- Newsletter — a one-click unsubscribe link sits in every email, and we remove unsubscribed records when asked.
- EU/UK (GDPR) — our lawful basis is consent (for analytics, ads, and the newsletter) or legitimate interest (for security and abuse prevention). You're entitled to file a complaint with your local data protection authority.
- California (CCPA / CPRA) — we do not sell personal information. Use the contact form to exercise your rights.
Data retention
- Newsletter records: kept until you unsubscribe.
- Contact messages: held for 24 months and then deleted.
- Analytics: Google Analytics' default retention period (currently 14 months).
Children
This site isn't aimed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly gather data from them. If you think a child has sent us information, let us know and we'll delete it.
